If Hip-Hop Organized, the Whole World Would be in Trouble

really feeling Rebel Diaz right now. well i guess i always am...
but in particular, these two new songs from their SXSW mixtape, "Libertad" and "We're Gonna Make It."

The group has opened up a community space in the Bronx called the Rebel Diaz Arts Collective, which i've been meaning to get to for weeks.

They describe themselves on their blog:
The Rebel Diaz Arts Collective (RDAC) is a South Bronx-based performance and multimedia space that aims to utilize culture as a means for education and self-empowerment in our community. We aim to provide an alternative to the profit-driven mass media that imposes values destructive to our community. By promoting a sense of community ownership, agency, and responsibility through the arts, we can begin to more effectively address the larger issues of gender, racial, and economic inequality in the South Bronx and beyond.

the Arts Collective and Rebel Diaz are on twitter, @rdacbx and @rebeldiaz.
